Finfinne News Network was born out of the need to give a reliable voice to the Oromo people,the Oromo cause, and those who fight for the relalization of Oromo rights.

Independent Oromo political party leaders and Oromos who advocate for the Oromo's right were frequently denied voice, and their voices were intentionally cut out from interviews. Finfinne News Network was born to fill the void and to be a voice for the Oromo people. All member Oromo media plege to serve the Oromo people and to be their voice.
