Grey Oak Holler

Born in rural Alabama in 1981, raised on the Allman Brothers and Skynyrd, then transplanted to Phoenix in ’91, where grunge and alternative rock became the soundtrack—Grey Oak Holler is the collision of Southern heritage and ’90s rebellion.

The name comes from the grey oak: ancient, weathered, and rooted deep. The music reflects that same endurance—songs about faith tested by fire, working-class dignity, political and cultural decay, memory, and the kind of love that refuses to burn out.

From Pentecostal church pews to desert nights in an old Cutlass, from Alabama to Arizona, Missouri to Memphis and back again, Grey Oak Holler writes from the in-between: between hope and grief, sovereignty and freedom, the boy who was and the man staring back in the mirror.

It’s Southern Rock meets ’90s Alternative. It’s heritage and defiance. Faith and doubt. Memory and miles.

It’s the spark that won’t go out.
