Lakestead Life

Welcome to Lakestead Life with the Johnsons!

We’re Matt, Beth, and Gabriel, and we've recently traded suburban life for a lakeside homestead adventure on three beautiful acres in Lake Helen, Florida. We're new to homesteading—learning as we go—and we're excited to share the real, unfiltered ups and downs with you!

Follow along as we navigate raising chickens, gathering fresh eggs, growing our own fruits and veggies, and diving into DIY projects like making soap, cheese, candles, and more. This channel isn't just about self-sufficiency; it's also our family's journey toward healthier, more intentional living, all set against the backdrop of peaceful lakefront beauty.

Whether you're a fellow newbie, a seasoned homesteader with wisdom to share, or someone simply curious about embracing a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle, welcome!

Hit subscribe and join us as we figure out this Lakestead Life together—one day (and plenty of laughs) at a time! #lakefrontliving #homesteading
