Bolavej_Prd

The Czech band Bolavej_Prd was formed around 2002 in high school as a raw punk ride for a few dozen devoted fans. They played in bunkers, clubs, and garages, spreading their first recordings on CDs and tapes. The founding members were Jindřich Medvědik, Václav Svoboda, and Rudolf Kápička. After the tragic death of Jindřich, the band disbanded… and fell into silence.

That silence was broken after more than twenty years – in 2024, some randomly discovered tapes sparked the band’s revival. Digitizing the original recordings led to the release of two albums: In the Depths of My Mind (2002) and Bolaavej (2003). With a new member and longtime friend Michal “Schwartz” Kurečka, and guest artist Linda Hrušková, the band found fresh energy — and a new sound.

In 2025, Bolavej_Prd delved into darker tones and found its home in doom metal. Their music remains authentic and improvised — each song is a unique experience full of raw energy. Wildness, darkness, pain, and hope — that’s Bolavej_Prd.
