Riding the -tide

I was born at 10+ pounds. I grew up overweight and by the age of 10 , I was already being teased by classmates, friends and family.  I tried every diet you can name. For decades, I bounced between success and failure, self blame, never understanding why my body kept fighting me.  By 2022, I was 285 pounds. I could barely walk, couldn’t tie my shoes and my mind was completely consumed by food.  On November 3, 2025 I took my first GLP-1 injection and within two hours, the constant noise in my head went silent. For the first time in my life, I understood that this wasn’t a lack of discipline.  It was biology.

This channel is about that journey—what it’s like to live your entire life fighting your body, what changed when the fight finally stopped, and what I’m learning now as I rebuild my health, my strength, and my identity.
