Welcome to Santa’s Italian Family Cooking!
Santa, or Santa Nelle as her family lovingly called her, was my husbands Mom, she was born and raised in Salerno Italy. Her childhood home was a villa in the hills with beautiful fruit trees all around it. 

As a young child she could walk outside and pick lemons and many other types of fruit any time. Santa met and Married her husband Charles DiGiovanni who was in the Military and served in the Korean War, Santa came over to the United States on the last Voyage of the Andrea Doria. It was a long Voyage from Italy. Santa raised her two boys Charles and Christopher. 

Santa cared for everyone around her, set in her old world Italian ways of how to run a home and her kitchen, the old ways were all she knew. Santa & Charles were married 62 happy years. I am so happy we are able to bring to you her very recipes, some of which are in her own hand writing she brought over from Italy with her!
