Spec MX-5 is the SCCA’s newest National Championship-eligible road racing class, offering a path for entry-level and experienced club racers to compete as either a destination class or a step on their way to professional racing in IMSA's Mazda MX-5 Cup.

The Spec MX-5 race car is based on the NC (2006-2015) generation Mazda MX-5.
