Mike Bruce Films

Mike Bruce is an American film director, writer, and producer known for visually bold, music-infused storytelling that blends genre cinema with a rock-and-roll sensibility.

His feature directorial debut, The Legend of God’s Gun (2007), established his reputation as an iconoclastic filmmaker. Writing for PopMatters, the film was described as a work that “rips through your brain and severs your synapses, shredding what you know about film and replacing it with a brand new celluloid language.”

Bruce’s second feature, Treasure of the Black Jaguar, earned significant international attention. The Hollywood Reporter praised it as a “well-made adventure set in Sergio Leone-type terrain and blasted with Robert Rodriguez-ish firepower… a delirious descent into a heart-of-darkness, where survival instincts and base greed trump basic goodness and civilized values.”

In the music-video world, Bruce directed a series of high-profile films for various artists.
