You've become part of "The Baso Family". I am Baso Zar a.k.a BZ, Singer - Songwriter.

Born Pfariso Maraga and raised in Tshiozwi on the outskirts of Louis Trichardt in Limpopo,Baso Zar is a South African Afropop and R&B artist. Blending melodic Afropop rhythms with contemporary R&B influences, his music combines smooth vocals, modern production, and relatable storytelling delivered primarily in English.

Baso Zar represents a new generation of artists emerging from Limpopo and building audiences beyond South Africa’s traditional music hubs.

In March 2026, he released his debut EP, following the release of his first single "Balanceto", marking an important step in his journey as an independent artist. His music has already received regional radio support, including airplay on Makhado FM.

Focused on carving a path for himself and others from his hometown, Baso Zar sums up his mentality in one line: “Someone’s gotta do it.”
