Chairman Kenny Barnes, Sr.

This channel documents the work, thinking, and lived experience of Kenneth E. Barnes Sr. — a nationally recognized clinical psychologist, community strategist, and Chair of the DC Peace Initiative Committee of the Rotary Club of Washington, D.C.

Chairman Barnes is the Founder of ROOT Inc. and Co-Founder of Time4Us2GetInvolved, two organizations dedicated to addressing violence not as a legal issue, but as a public health emergency requiring early, data-driven, and long-term intervention.

His current work centers on building a scalable national prevention model that begins with elementary school–aged children and follows them longitudinally through adolescence and adulthood. This model is being piloted through the Stanton Elementary School Project, combining literacy intervention, debate-based critical thinking, trauma awareness, family engagement, and rigorous outcome tracking.
