Danny Walsh Banned

Danny Walsh Banned are a Naarm and regional Victoria-based band known for their distinctive Australian storytelling and energetic live shows that feel at home in city pubs and regional halls. Anchored by songwriter and frontman Danny Walsh, the band draw on folklore, half-heard histories, and characters who don’t usually make it into the history books.
Across four albums - including their latest release No Monument - Danny Walsh Banned have built a body of work that moves between humour and unease, intimacy and swagger, always grounded in place and voice.
Long-time collaborators including Leo ‘The Weed’ Tellefson, Jorge Leiva (La Descarga), Adam Green (Cannon) and Andrew Alves form the backbone of a loose but deeply musical lineup, with Julia Walsh and Cecilia Farley providing joyful backing vocals. When the full group is assembled, shows take on the feel of a rolling revue: dynamic and slightly unpredictable.
