Dark Horse Theatre UK

Dark Horse are one of the country’s pioneering theatre companies making work lead by actor/theatre-makers with learning disabilities. Dark Horse are a leader in actor training for adults with learning disabilities. Dark Horse students train at the highest, vocational level via its actor training courses, developing skills to prepare them for the industry. Students have gone on to work in TV and theatre across the UK such as BBC and Shane Meadows' The Gallows Pole and Ramps on the Moon and Leeds Playhouse’s production of Oliver Twist.

This channel was set up during the global Covid-19 outbreak to keep actors, students and the wider learning disabled community engaged with Dark Horse, creativity and the wider world of live, recorded and digital art. By providing learning resources and activities we hope to alleviate some of the issues that may arise as a result of social isolation. We continue to grow our YouTube channel to ensure that people can continue to access our work.
