Welcome to Desert Diaries

Your window into life in Saudi Arabia through the eyes of an expat researcher! I'm Dr. Sam, a postdoctoral researcher at KFUPM, sharing my personal journey living in the Kingdom. On this channel, you'll find real-life vlogs about daily life in Khobar, exciting travels across Saudi Arabia—from the bustling streets of Riyadh to the spiritual cities of Makkah and Madinah—and even international trips like my recent adventure to the USA. I take you along as I explore shopping malls, try diverse foods, and capture the vibrant culture of KSA. I also share valuable academic guidance for students and researchers around the world—covering scholarships, MS, PhD, and postdoc opportunities at KFUPM.
