GalaBags

Welcome to GalaBags Australia — the gold standard in woven bags.

Founded by Gaz & Lara in 2020 with just 100 bags, GalaBags has grown from a market discovery into a distinctive Australian brand. Our exclusive collections are designed in Australia and handwoven by the original family and village artisans in Java, where this remarkable craft began in 1986.

Created from reclaimed plastic and engineered for exceptional strength, every genuine GalaBag carries the GB badge and is backed by our worldwide lifetime guarantee.

Discover new designs, behind-the-scenes stories, market adventures, strength tests and the people who make GalaBags extraordinary.
