GHOST GEAR DISAPPEAR INC.

Allow me to introduce Austin Vibert, the visionary CEO of GHOST GEAR DISAPPEAR INC., a pioneering company that specializes in underwater retrieval techniques for abandoned, lost, and discarded fishing gear (ALDFG). Austin's story is one of passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the preservation of marine life and the fishing communities of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.

Born and raised on the picturesque Miscou Island, New Brunswick, Austin's love for the ocean runs deep. As a third-generation fisherman and avid scuba-diver, he has spent decades exploring the depths of the sea, honing his skills, and developing innovative techniques for retrieving lost or cut buoys, lobster traps, crab traps, scallop drags, anchors, and various types of netting.

Thirty years ago, Austin embarked on a mission to address the growing problem of ALDFG, which was causing significant damage to sensitive marine bottom habitats. His early techniques involved "blind" retrieval methods.
