Uncarved Engina

I’ve lived in 18 different places since I was 17.

Each one a new chance to love where I’m at, see how to use what’s already there, or let something live. Studios, cars, houses, rooms the size of a closet - each gave me a design degree.

Along the way, I remain completely awestruck by the way things just seem to fit or fall apart… like they’re constantly lending themselves to the moment and being damn beautiful at it.

There’s a lot of grounding for me in what I do - and I’m still figuring out how to share it - through every mess and project, to be uncertain of why a thing is being done but to just “have to try it.” Slow, rhythmic, compartmentalized chaos over plans or perfection.. That has made all the difference in what I’ve learned about what’s possible. And throughout the years, it’s fun seeing how things “decompose” and have infinite ways of being useful.

I’m starting to share the archive here, along with new footage from shell #18, during the season of becoming a first-time mom.
