Golden Valley Historical Society

The Golden Valley Historical Society (GVHS) was organized in 1974 to strengthen community connections by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of the village/city of Golden Valley, Minnesota.  In 1997, GVHS acquired the city's oldest public building, the 1882 Historic Church, to house the collection and to present public programs and special events. In 2018, GVHS opened an annex that contains the award-winning exhibition "No Place Like Home", the story of Golden Valley.
