Green Dragon Guild of London is named after Green Dragon Court, the old central London street winding around the medieval corner of Southwark Cathedral. But since then, many green dragons of contemporary fantasy have appeared, like the Green Dragon Inn, where the quest to the Lonely Mountain begins.

Combining medieval remnants and contemporary imagination reflects the heart of our unique artistic vision. We present evocative works from 11th to 15th centuries alongside contemporary compositions that are medieval-inspired, brought to life through new creative possibilities of early music scholarship and historically informed practice.

Directed by David Yardley (countertenor, medieval harp, composer), the Guild's acclaimed musicians have rare specialisation in medieval music - founding members Juliette Primrose (vielle), Dr Leah Stuttard (medieval harps), Richard de Winter (bass, narration) and David de Winter (tenor).
