Harae Nagoshi

Riding the packed rush-hour trains was painful for me. Even so, when I had no choice but to get on, while the people around me were reading news on their phones or playing games, making music became my way to escape from that place.

While making sounds with Korg Gadget and djay, before 2018 I was remaking sounds recorded with Logic, Pure Data, and other recordings. I had a desire to deliver something physical, so I self-dubbed onto cassette tapes, made drawings and stickers, and was active only on Bandcamp.

Experimental ambient musician. Field recordist based in Japan.
Layering ambient drones and improvised collages inspired by field recordings and guitar. Continuously building sound as a form of daily self-healing.
50+ releases on Bandcamp since 2014.
