Jordan Nimz

Jordan Nimz is a singer/songwriter/producer from the Toronto area. A newcomer to the indie pop scene, their confessional, poetic songwriting and lush production reflect their avant-garde musical tastes and studied artistry.

Nimz’s musical journey began at the age of 6 with classical piano lessons, but their first taste of pop music came with Katy Perry’s debut album One Of The Boys. Inspired by the infectious hooks of Perry’s work, Nimz began to explore the world of pop music, paving the way for their own distinctive sound. Further pop influences on Nimz’s work include Lady Gaga’s theatrical shapeshifting and Allie X’s left-of-centre soundscapes. Eager to further hone their skills and delve into the technical aspects of music production, Nimz pursued higher education at the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology. Their time there expanded their technical expertise and also served as a key moment in shaping their identity as an artist.
