Kentucky Interpreter and Translator Association

The Kentucky Interpreter and Translator Association (KITA) is a non-profit organization that has been in existence since 2006. KITA provides continuing education opportunities and a forum for interpreters and translators to exchange ideas and experiences. The Association supports medical interpreter training in order to facilitate access to health care and other fundamental services for the Limited-English Proficient (LEP) community as well as the Deaf and hard of hearing community. KITA promotes professionalism and public awareness of the importance of providing quality interpretation and translation services.
