Official Youtube Channel of Basilica of Our Lady of Snow , Palliport

Standing as a beacon of faith on the serene shores of Kerala, the Manjumatha Church—the Basilica of Our Lady of Snow—embodies centuries of spiritual devotion and cultural synthesis. Consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the church serves as an enduring spiritual shelter for pilgrims, fishermen, and the local coastal community of Pallippuram.

Founded in an era where faith crossed oceans, this sacred site was consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring the miraculous snowfall in Rome that marked the site for the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. In the lush landscape of the Malabar Coast, the name 'Manjumatha'—literally 'Mother of Snow'—carries a localized resonance, blending the universal Marian devotion with the gentle spirit of the local community.
