Marlon Simon and the nagual spirits.  Latin Jazz constantly evolving. After working for several years as a side man with Hilton Ruiz, Charles Fambrough, Bobby Watson, Dave Valentin, Chucho Valdez and crossing boundaries to Aretha Franklin and Peter Cetera, Marlon Simon founded The Nagual Spirits in 1996, the ensemble gave him the opportunity to showcase his talent as a jazz composer and drummer defining a distinct approach to Latin jazz. The nagual spirits have presented numerous workshops and seminars on Latin jazz and Afro Caribbean rhythms at low-income public schools and universities the nagual Spirits were selected by the mid- Atlantic arts foundation and the department of state to present international concerts representing the excellence and integrity of the musical art forms born in the USA in this case Latin Jazz.
