The Writing Life by Maryann Pasda DiEdwardo

Dr. Maryann Pasda DiEdwardo, artist, writer, scholar, is the recipient of 2017 University of Maryland Global Campus Stanley J. Drazek Teaching Excellence Award plus two UMGC Professional Achievement Awards. She was awarded by the College English Association with a Professional Achievement Award and with the Karen Lentz Award for Scholarship 2016. Published works include “Pairing Music and Linguistic Intelligences.”  Record, Vol. 41, No. 3, Spring 2005. The Legacy of Katharine Hepburn, by DiEdwardo, was used as idea for film (Bertrand Tessier) Les Couples Mythiques du Cinema. Maryann is a trained artist and taught, exhibited, and created community art events for Pasda Art Studios as Co-Artistic Director 1976-2008. She studied under Charles Movalli of the Rockport Art Association, Martha Duke, John Pike. 

Interdisciplinary research scholarship focuses on digital humanities, text analysis, and advocating writing as a healing endeavor.
