Melody D. Velez | Songwriter • Poet • Creative Visionary

Born and raised in the Bronx with Puerto Rican roots, Melody D. Velez is a writer, poet, and creative visionary who transforms life’s most difficult experiences into powerful stories of resilience, healing, and self-discovery.

Her music is an extension of her poetry—raw, soulful, unapologetic, and deeply personal. Through original lyrics, she explores survival, motherhood, generational strength, and the beauty of rebuilding after adversity.

Her song Everything That Couldn't Bury Me is more than music. It is a declaration that the experiences meant to destroy us can become the foundation of something extraordinary.

Melody writes her own lyrics and directs the creative vision behind her music, using Donna AI to develop the musical arrangements and generated vocals. While she is not the recorded vocalist, every story, emotion, and message begins with her words.

Her voice is in the writing. Her truth is in the music.
