Michael Salter | Running

Endurance runner from Leeds, UK. One of those “talents” that never quite made it, but stuck around long enough to learn a few things.

I started out as an 800m runner and, 20 years later, I’m still trying to stay competitive over 5k and 10k into my late 30s. Along the way, I’ve trained with and raced against some of the best athletes in the UK, picked up plenty of lessons, made plenty of mistakes, and kept coming back for more.

This channel is about sharing what I’ve learned from two decades in the sport — training, racing, mindset, mistakes, comebacks, and the reality of trying to keep improving when life, work and age all start getting in the way. For anyone still chasing PBs, still figuring it out, or still trying to get the best out of themselves.
