I don't follow a "tek", as I feel (by observing the despair of hundreds of people who can't seem to figure out what went wrong because they followed someone's tek exactly) that teks are limiting. Be aware that no tek is ever going to work  for you the way it works for the originator. It works well in their environment and with their best practices. It is up to you to figure out what went wrong so that you can figure out where your weak spots lie and then use SCIENTIFIC METHOD to test your hypothesis. Learn. Wash, rinse & repeat this process until you achieve success. I learned everything I know by finding the reasons for my failures. I then began to perfect my skills, once I had developed them, and now rather than mitigating failures, I am fortunate to share my successes with you! I wish you all the best in your journey!
