The Mississippi Institute of Dolphin Science (MSIDS) is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization organized to manage wild dolphin kingdoms, perform environmental enhancement of dolphin habitats, and engage in research and outreach activities linking zoos, aquariums, and home school learners with interactive exhibits. MSIDS uses a fin recognition program to identify dolphins, and MSIDS research staff can search the history for each dolphin for broadcasting to remote learners. Dolphin Kingdom preserves are wild dolphin habitats in the Gulf of Mexico where MSIDS engages in research, public outreach, and assessment of wild dolphin health.
