Our Nica Story

We're Alan and Kristy, and we're leaving Southern California to build our dream on Nicaragua's breathtaking Pacific Coast.

Follow our journey as we transform raw land near the world-famous surf breaks of Popoyo into Las Olas de Oro Popoyo Resort & Spa and 9 North Restaurant & Bar.

This is more than building a resort—it's about taking calculated risks, pursuing financial freedom, embracing adventure, and creating a lasting legacy.

Join us as we share:
🏗️ Resort construction
🌊 Surfing & life in Popoyo
🏡 Nicaragua real estate
🍽️ Restaurant & hospitality
🎣 Fishing & adventure
🌴 Local culture & hidden gems
📈 Entrepreneurship abroad
❤️ Family, faith & purpose

We'll share the wins, setbacks, and lessons along the way—because the best stories are real.
