Paulo Baranda

Paulo Baranda is a Canadian/Portuguese electronic producer blending Dub Techno, House, and experimental synthesis. With a background in electronics and computer science, he crafts immersive compositions that merge past and future sonic landscapes. Influenced by Jean Michel Jarre, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Above & Beyond, his music balances driving rhythms, atmospheric depth, and emotive harmonies while exploring Dub Techno’s philosophical and minimalist dimensions. The early ’90s Berlin scene inspires his focus on sonic experimentation and fluid musical forms.

After relocating to Europe during the COVID-19 pandemic, Paulo embraced delay-driven textures reminiscent of Basic Channel and Monolake. His debut album—available on streaming platforms—showcases refined sound design and spectral futurism. Though he occasionally performs live, he remains committed to pushing the boundaries of dub-infused minimalism in the studio.
