Voices from the Periphery

Voices from the Periphery is a dynamic collective of Social Science students and one of India’s leading organizations dedicated to amplifying the narratives of marginalized communities. Our mission is to foster critical discussions, explore the rich tapestry of Subaltern History, and document the lived experiences of those on the periphery of mainstream discourse. Through engaging lectures, insightful analyses, and field-based case studies, we strive to bridge the gap between academic scholarship and public understanding. We also publish a biannual scholarly journal, 'The Tales of the Marginals', offering fresh perspectives and rigorous research on marginalized voices and their histories. Founded in 2024 by Aayush and Rakhi, Voices from the Periphery was born out of a shared vision to bridge the gap between the general public and the often inaccessible, textbook-driven narratives of history.
