Psalmist Japhet

Origin & Heritage: Born in Chingola, Copperbelt Province, in 1984. I am the third of seven children (three brothers, four sisters), raised in a devout Christian family by a father who served as a pastor and instilled strong faith-based values.

Spiritual and Musical Foundation: My journey of faith began at an early age. My passion for music was ignited at age eleven when I began singing on the praise team at my former church, a commitment to God that remains unwavering.

Career Launch: Following the completion of my education, I moved to Lusaka in 2007. In the capital, I connected with Pastor Susan, whose guidance was instrumental in the release of my highly anticipated debut album, “Umutima Wandi,” in 2008.

Personal Life: I married my beloved wife in 2020. We are blessed with a family of four children: two daughters and two sons.
