Roshan Shrestha

Roshan Shrestha is a Nepali investigative journalist, author, and digital media entrepreneur born in Bahrabise, Nepal. He completed his higher secondary education at Shree Bachchhala Devi Higher Secondary School, where his interest in truth, public accountability.

He represents a new generation of journalists connecting truth, technology, and civic empowerment through digital innovation. Shrestha founded Khoj Samachar, an independent news platform focused on verified reporting, transparency, and youth participation, and later initiated Wikinp, Nepal’s digital encyclopedia promoting open and verifiable knowledge.

He is the author of The Digital Voice of Nepal and KhojX – News Age, and the creator of Kamko, a public-service mobile application designed to deliver verified information, digital literacy tools, and civic awareness for Nepali users. His work and initiatives have been featured by Global Voices and recognized by Pressenza for advancing digital journalism, civic innovation.
