Shelter House Thunder Bay

Shelter House Thunder Bay is a secular, low-barrier harm reduction shelter providing critical support for individuals aged 16+ experiencing houselessness. Rooted in compassion and inclusivity, we aim to meet people where they are and foster safety and dignity.

We operate four unique programs:
- Emergency Shelter: A 62-bed facility offering a safe and welcoming space.
- Meals 365: Full Plates Warm Hearts: A year-round program providing 3 hot meals daily.
- Kwae Kii Win (Managed Alcohol Program): A residential program supporting individuals managing alcohol use to improve quality of life.
- Harm Reduction Program: Offering access to new drug-use equipment in a stigma-free environment.

Through these programs, Shelter House addresses urgent needs while promoting well-being and advocating for systemic change to reduce houselessness in Thunder Bay.
