Skaya Moon

Skaya Moon is a music producer, dancer, performer, and visual artist who fell from the moon and landed in New York City. Her world is built around identity, sexuality, and the unapologetic embrace of every facet of being human.

In everything she touches, texture, details and strangeness are what matter most. The weirdness, the thing that feels almost too specific to be universal, that’s exactly what she’s after. As a trans woman, she moves through the world with an intimacy that’s hard earned and deeply felt, finding the divine in what others make shameful. The years she spent as a professional figure skater live inside every art form she creates, and the ballroom and vogue fem scene pulse through her movement and performance. A background in art history and graphic design means nothing gets made without intention.
