the Butterfly Ghosts

The Butterfly Ghosts is an AI‑music project by Nigel Smith, who also writes Poetry under the name Hidden Self Poetry. In this music guise, he writes all lyrics and provides the core emotional and narrative direction. Then he employs AI tools to generate and shape the music around his words. The result is a hybrid form where the lyrics are human‑authored, the music is AI‑driven, and the final track is curated and edited by the artist himself. The project is deliberately presented as AI‑music to distinguish it from traditional band‑style releases and to sit honestly within the evolving landscape of AI‑assisted creativity.

Nigel Smith was born in 1964, is married with 2 grown-up chilren, lives north of Leeds uk and was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2009
