TheBlob

I'm an independent artist from Chicago, raised in Cicero, Illinois. I started writing as a way to slow down and confront myself. I use it to distinguish the good from the bad and gain a better understanding of my feelings. When my thoughts and emotions become overwhelming, writing helps me sift through the chaos to create something meaningful. “TheBlob” originated from a childhood nickname given by my dear grandfather, but it has come to symbolize more. It represents the parts of myself that feel misunderstood, overlooked, or hard to explain, as well as the person beneath life’s challenges. My songs reflect real experiences: chronic pain, depression, fatherhood, isolation, losing parts of myself, and holding on to hope amid chaos. The lyrics, stories, and artistic vision are drawn from my life. I use AI in production to bring my internal feelings and ideas to life. I don’t seek perfection or follow trends; I make music because it helps me reflect and has always been my passion.
