The Charlie Matthews Band

Charlie is a faith based songwriter based in the Nashville area. The music on this page is a collection of songs he wrote between 1998 and 2008. Most are reflective of his personal struggles and imperfections. They all address the need to call on God for guidance, help, and praise.

Around 2008, life happened and his songs sat in a binder for years collecting dust. Fast forward to 2020 during the COVID lock down, Charlie revisited these songs to cherish those days gone by. He realized his music was just wasting away and not being utilized for the greater good of what God intended. From that time, Charlie made a commitment to record and share them with anyone that will listen to the messages God blessed him with many years ago. And at the root, it was about leaving a legacy for his family to enjoy for many years to come.
