Crystle Johnson | Life After Underbelonging

I coined the term underbelonging to describe what happens when belonging costs us too much of ourselves. Now I'm building something different.

I'm Crystle Johnson. I left corporate America, moved to Mérida, Mexico, and started building a life I don't need to recover from.

Here, I'm documenting what that looks like #IRL: learning Spanish, creating experiences for Black women, becoming part of the community I now call home, and building Casa Kinory, a home just outside of Mérida where Black women can come rest. It opens in February 2027. Join the early list: kinory.co/casakinory

This channel is part memoir, part experiment, and part invitation to imagine a different way of being.

Welcome to my Life after Underbelonging.
