Uncool and the Gang

You know what it will sound like, but every session is unique: Uncool and the Gang is a Dutch free-funk formation that produces exclusively improvised work without arrangements. An official start date cannot be given because this way of playing had a long run-up before they came up with the idea of playing it in front of an audience, but the first gig was in 2014. The style was an immediate success. Since then the band has played regularly at various venues but still holds long sessions in their home studio. The sessions are preceded by inimitable conversations accompanied by cake, after which sugar rush and disorientation form the basis for deep grooves and funky fibes.
