Department of Economics - University of Bern

The Department of Economics at the University of Bern is part of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences. Our research focuses on monetary macroeconomics, empirical public economics, and organizational and industrial economics, and we work closely with policy institutions such as the Swiss National Bank, the BIS, SECO, the OECD and the Swiss Competition Commission.

From bachelor to master level, including the MSc in International and Monetary Economics offered jointly with the University of Basel, we combine rigorous theory with empirical and applied perspectives, making the department an inspiring place to study, research and work.
