Unraveled: Understanding Complex Illness

David Kaufman, MD, an internist and Ilene Ruhoy, MD, PhD, a neurologist, are both experts in chronic complex illnesses. We focus on those suffering with ME/CFS, hEDS, MCAS, SFN, POTS, autoimmunity, Long Covid, infections, adverse environmental exposures, and more. We will discuss  these disorders in depth, as we explore causes, illness interrelationships, workups, and management. We hope to educate patients and their families, realizing how difficult it is to cope with these complex illnesses. And we will strive to provide useful, actionable information for physicians struggling to meet the challenge of these syndromes. 

We are two docs from New York now working in Seattle. As New Yorkers, we talk a lot, we talk fast, we interrupt each other, and we have a lot to say. While we are passionate about our work, we also love to laugh and hope that you will laugh with us as you learn.
