Vinyl Tango DJ Vladimir Shifrin

This is a channel for Vladimir Shifrin -- a New York-based Vinyl Tango DJ. I began DJing tango in 2004 until 2012 as a digital (laptop) DJ and recently returned with a renewed focus on Vinyl exclusively, playing at milongas in New York and various festivals.

Drawing from my experience as a dancer since 2004, I bring a deep sensitivity to the dance floor, carefully shaping tandas with attention to rhythm, energy, and musical flow. My vinyl sets highlight the richness of the golden age, offering a warm, authentic sound — an incredibly unique experience that brings you closer to the feeling of a live orchestra.
