Municipal Library of Orestiada

The Municipal Library has been operating since 1962, while since 1997 it belongs to D.I.K.E.P.A.O. A hidden treasure in the heart of Orestiada. With over 27,478 titles and 8,339+ members. The Library aims to encourage reading, to create future friends of the book, aesthetic and social education, entertainment and stimulation of the imagination as well as the development of the research and critical spirit. Since 2006, the Public Information Center has also been operating in the library area, consisting of three computers with the ability to navigate the Internet, search for information in electronic databases, access the library catalog by its users, with the aim of familiarizing them with the library, new technologies and access to information services. It has more than 27,568 volumes in its collection.
