Jeff Johnson - What’s Left of Jeff

Hi! I’m Jeff. I started this channel to document my battle with throat cancer. In 2018, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the base of tongue and faced the prospect.

Thankfully — by the grace of God and through the gifts He’s given the amazingly talented team at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas — neither of those happened. I’m still alive (as of 2025), back at work, and — considering the damage the hellish treatments for this cancer do to your body — I’m doing reasonably well.

I made videos up through my five year mark (2023), when I was finally told my survivorship team at MD Anderson, “You are cured. The chances of your cancer ever returning are a fraction of a percent.” I’ve tried, but haven’t made many videos since then.

My story now is basically trying to live as normal a life as possible. If you want to see just how IMpossible that is, visit my new channel: https://youtube.com/@tojjtalks
