Wild Science with Dr Leigh

I'm Dr Leigh Hickmott "The scientist behind the documentaries."

I'm a marine biologist who studies whales for a living. From Antarctic killer whales and elusive deep-diving beaked whales, to the science shaping our understanding of the natural world, this is wildlife through the eyes of a scientist.

I've spent decades studying whales & dolphins, working alongside scientists & filmmakers, helping bring remarkable wildlife stories to the screen. Now, I'm taking you behind the scenes to show you what the research really looks like and what it tells us about ocean life.
