Saemgol Agungi

live in Seoul(Chris Hyun/Kiryong Hyun). Since my father passed away in 1984
and my mother in 2008, I have been visiting my countryside home every week.
The house is a traditional Korean tiled-roof house, and even now, we still light
the fire in the kitchen stove (Agungi). The fire is used for heating. To me, the
fire in the Agungi represents both my hometown and my parents. The kitchen
was partially renovated in the spring of 2022, and the village, Saemgol, is my
hometown. Every week, I capture the daily life of the countryside in videos,
and I hope it brings you a time of healing as well. Thank you!
