The World is Just a Book Away

The World is Just a Book Away (WIJABA) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Santa Monica, CA that seeks to build leaders for the future by empowering children to change their own lives and communities through books, libraries, and educational programs. Our mission is to promote literacy and education by developing libraries and programs that plant the seeds of leadership, environmental consciousness, and community connection. WIJABA currently works with disadvantaged communities that have suffered through great adversity in Sidoarjo, Padang, and Bali, Indonesia (since 2009), as well as in Chihuahua, Mexico (since 2012).
