East African Safari Classic Rally

First run in 2003, the East African Safari Classic Rally is widely regarded as the world's toughest historic motorsport event. Run in the spirit of the original Safari Rally, which became a legend amongst rally fans worldwide for the beautiful but potentially brutal nature of the event, this nine-day rally is run on open roads through the wildest regions of Kenya and Tanzania. 

The event covers approximately 4,500 kilometres, including competitive stages of more than 160 kilometres/100 miles long. Former winners include world champions, Björn Waldegård and Stig Blomqvist, as well as many famous African drivers, including Ian Duncan and Rob Collinge.
