Jonathan Hood is an award-winning broadcaster with over 30 years of experience in the Chicago media landscape. Known for his dynamic voice and insightful commentary, Hood is a trusted presence across multiple platforms in sports media.

He currently co-hosts the popular Kap & J-Hood Morning Show on ESPN 1000 AM, part of the Good Karma Sports network, where his engaging style and deep sports knowledge have made the show a staple for Chicago sports fans.

In 2016, Hood took his talents to a national stage as co-host of Dickerson & Hood on ESPN Radio, broadcast across more than 350 affiliates in the U.S. His national exposure was a natural evolution for a broadcaster who has covered some of the biggest events in sports. 

Since 2015, Hood has served as the play-by-play voice of UIC Flames men’s basketball, and later expanded his role as the lead voice for UIC Flames baseball.
